Our Team

Danny Sanford is a Certified Retirement Housing Professional and became licensed as a healthcare administrator in 1989. A graduate of the University of North Carolina, he has been involved in the retirement community industry since 1987. Prior to joining Still Hopes, Danny served as CEO of Big Elm Retirement Community in Kannapolis, NC; Executive Director of Lowman Home in White Rock, SC; and CEO of Covenant Towers in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is a past Chairman of LeadingAge SC, has written examination questions for the National Administrators Board of Examiners, and served on the National Leading Age's Board of Directors as the first representative from South Carolina. Danny is a trusted voice in aging services and has spoken at many regional and national educational sessions in the U.S.

Originally from Anderson, South Carolina, Nikki holds a Master's in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Carolina. She is a licensed nursing home and residential care facility administrator. Prior to joining Still Hopes, Nikki served as Executive Director of Skylyn Place Retirement Community in Spartanburg, SC, and as Resident Services Director at Covenant Place in Sumter, SC. She serves on the South Carolina Board of Long Term Health Care Administrators and is a past president of the South Carolina Association of Residential Care Homes.

Joe began his senior living career in 1992 when he joined Longwood at Oakmont as Director of Finance, and later also became the Associate Executive Director. In 2001 he became VP of Finance and System Support for Presbyterian Senior Care, and served in that role until 2008 when he became Senior VP and CFO. Joe oversaw several major financing and refinancing endeavors during his tenure, and he helped to create the country’s 4th Continuing Care Retirement Community Without Walls. He was first licensed as a CPA in 1995 and became a licensed Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) in 1998. Beginning in 2020, he served as VP of Finance for Wheeling Hospital, in Wheeling West Virginia, and remained there until he came to Still Hopes as our VP of Finance. Joe coached seventh and eighth grade boys’ basketball for 14 years and has been a speaker at LeadingAge National conferences.
