Honoring the rich legacy of Dr. Jane Bruce Guignard, Still Hopes' founder and one of Columbia's first female physicians, our long-term nursing care neighborhood in Greenway at Still Hopes is a resident-centered skilled nursing community that provides personalized services for those requiring higher levels of care. Our compassionate team of professionals is trained to identify the specific needs of residents and to develop a plan to ensure their highest quality of living through support, daily activities, and companionship.
Jane Bruce Guignard Healthcare was one of the first in the Southeast to implement the innovative Household Model. Gone are the hospital-like double lined corridors with limited gathering space and bulky nurses stations. Our 48 private nursing suites are separated into three distinct 16 room neighborhoods, named for our local rivers here in the Columbia area. Each neighborhood is equipped with a spacious living room, designated dining area, sun room, private family den, and activities center, allowing residents and guests to visit and enjoy a home-like atmosphere outside of the private room.

Still Hopes provides comprehensive clinical services with an on-site physician practice and round the clock nursing care, ensuring personalized attention. Each neighborhood enjoys a low resident to clinical staff ratio with a consistent care team. Each room is equipped with an emergency call system, handicap accessible private bathroom, and secure medication cabinet. Onsite therapy and rehabilitation services are also available to support their well-being.

Long-term nursing is for older adults who need the 24-hour supervision of a licensed nurse or would benefit from total personal care assistance.
Assess your loved one's need for ongoing medical supervision, evaluate whether their care requirements exceed what home care can safely provide, and consider skilled nursing when the focus shifts from recovery to comfort care. When your loved one can no longer participate in their daily personal care, requires a multi-person or lift assistance to move about the home, or is struggling with a chronic illness that requires constant monitoring by a licensed nurse, long-term care may be appropriate.
Recognize when current care arrangements aren't improving your loved one's well-being, monitor signs of caregiver stress and burnout, and act when caregiving responsibilities begin to negatively impact your family's quality of life. Our qualified nursing staff will always take the time to assess your loved one and discuss your concerns to help determine the best plan of care.
