Joe began his Senior Living career in 1992, when he joined an organization to help develop a greenfield retirement community in Western Pennsylvania. He continued his work there, both in finance and in administration, until the CCRC was acquired by Presbyterian Senior Care (PSC) in 2001. He then served PSC as VP of Finance and System Support until 2008, when he became their Senior VP and CFO. Joe continued in that role, as the organization grew and expanded, until 2020. While at PSC, Joe spearheaded more than $500 million in financings, created the 4th CCRC without walls in the US, helped to create and lead an insurance captive, and led PSC through both strategic affiliations and joint ventures. Joe acquired his CPA License in 1995 and became a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 1998. Joe has spent more than 14 years coaching basketball for 7th and 8th grade boys. Joe has been a frequent speaker at LeadingAge national conferences. For the last two years, Joe has served as the VP of Finance for Wheeling Hospital, but his heart remained with the Senior Living field and that passion has led him to return to the field here at Still Hopes.
