Recently I observed a marquee at a local business. It read "it's hot!" That's when I realized how thankful we are because at JBF we have the perfect relief -- our Smart TV. With our TV, the sky is the limit. We've seen everything from music to trivia and history to comedy. So we say, bring on the heat. We will visit the porch in October at our Retirement Community West Columbia, SC.
At spring's last-gasp, we were fortunate to visit Paradise Plants Plus in Irmo operated by Mr. Dan Clayton. This is where thousands of hydrangea plants are grown and sold to distributors. We say beautiful shades of pinks, blues, and purples. Dan boarded the bus and gave us a first-hand sample that we could actually touch and see; but it did not stop there. Dan also let us visit the Columbia Sailing Club. We got to see an amazing view of the lake. As Chris Mitchell drove us carefully around the club's property, one resident exclaimed, "just imagine what he could do with a sail boat!"
