Director of Activity Services
This position is part of a succession plan for our current Activities Director; who has been a part of Still Hopes since 2000. The primary purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance to our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Executive Director. The goal of this role is to assure that an on-going program of activities is designed and met, in accordance with the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.
The preferred candidate must be a qualified therapeutic recreation specialist, an activities professional who is licensed by SC, or is eligible for certification as a recreation specialist or as an activities professional. The candidate must have, as a minimum, two (2) years’ experience in a social or recreation program, and a SC Driver’s license with a verified three (3) year safe driving record.
