Music abounds at Still Hopes from the precious children’s choirs to concert musicians that have performed abroad. Blessed to be so near such fine institutions of higher learning as the University of South Carolina, Still Hopes residents enjoy the many performances of the Winter/Spring and Fall Concert Series by USC faculty, students, and other world class musicians who grace the stage in the Susan Gibbes Robinson Garden Room throughout the year.
Doctoral students love to give their recitals at Still Hopes and visiting church choirs and recreational music groups perform often.
Transportation is offered off campus to concerts such as the SC Philharmonic, USC Symphony, Palmetto Mastersingers, USC Concert Choir, and others as available.
Two performing groups that are comprised of Still Hopes residents are the Senior Singers Glee Club and the Southern Bells handbell choir. Their meeting times are:
Senior Singers Glee Club ~ Tuesdays at 2 p.m. in the Club Room of Bldg. # 5
Southern Bells Handbell Choirs:
Basically Bells for Beginners ~ Fridays at 1:30 p.m.
Creative Bells for experienced ringers ~ Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m.
Both groups meet in the Multipurpose Room of Bldg. # 5
