In-Home Care

SolutionsForLiving

“After my surgery, I was so eager to get back home.  But I didn’t come back alone.  Mary was an angel – she came in three times a week to help with bathing and cooking and we formed a really strong bond.  Without her I would never have been able to recover in the comfort of my own home.  Thanks to Still Hopes’ Solutions for Living, I’m right where I want to be.”

Solutions for Living is a resource for strategies and support to keep seniors and others with health or mobility challenges at home.  Solutions for Living is a ministry of Still Hopes Episcopal Retirement Community located in West Columbia, South Carolina.

Non-medical services are delivered by Personal Care Aides or Certified Nursing Assistants.  These are carefully selected and trained individuals who are employees of Still Hopes, which manages their payment, taxes, scheduling and workers’ compensation.  All providers undergo thorough background screening and are closely supervised.

Reliable Service, Compassionately Delivered

In many cases, remaining at home is a matter of an extra pair of hands.  Some people find that a morning visit for light housecleaning and lunch preparation is all it takes.  For others a reliable individual to handle mowing and trimming makes the difference.

Many family members caring for loved ones at home use our services so they can keep up with their own work and family duties.  Whatever the needs, services are delivered with compassion and caring.

A registered nurse will complete an initial assessment to help plan for and suggest services.  The nurse will review the recommendations with the patient, family members and healthcare providers as needed.

Solutions for Living offers a menu of affordable services on a three-hour minimum.   Service is available 24/7 or as needed and can change as needs change.  Some people require assistance on a long-term basis – others need limited service during an illness or following a hospital stay.

Offerings include but are not limited to:
