The Palmetto Dining Room and The Bistro at Still Hopes are proclaimed to be among Columbia's finest dining venues.

Residents and guests alike enjoy award winning dining at The Palmetto Dining Room. The food, service and environment are sure to please all who attend. The Palmetto Dining Room is a full service restaurant where fine dining is guaranteed; from the five course menu to formal table settings to service that is the talk of the town.

If folks are feeling a little more casual they can stroll into the Bistro and select from the tasty salad bar, the special of the day or from the extensive la carte menu. Dining at Still Hopes has been compared to “cruise ship” dining…meaning, the choice is yours!

Executive Chef Jimmie Jackson is a creative and accomplished chef who brings 35 years of experience to Still Hopes. A Certified Executive Chef, Culinary Administrator, Dietary Manager and Food Protection Professional, Chef Jackson is also a Culinary Instructor at the University of South Carolina. He is a 2005 winner of the ACF Columbia Chef of the Year award. Among his many distinctive capabilities is his expertise in ice sculpture. Chef Jackson’s ice carvings have been featured in industry publications and his artistry is widely regarded. Before joining Still Hopes, Chef Jackson served other Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the region, so he really knows how to set a table for discerning clientele.

Chef Jimmie and his staff prepare more than 600 delicious meals a day and cater numerous gatherings for residents and their families and friends. Whether you are planning a visit or planning to be our neighbor, the dining at Still Hopes is sure to satisfy even the most delicate palates.
